Making your own nut milk is quick and easy. I’ved talked to a lot of people who are intimated by the thougtht of it – but don’t be! I used to be one of those people too, but then I did it and I learned how easy it is!
You just need some raw nuts and water. That’s it. If you want you can flavor it with some honey (or dates) and vanilla if that’s your preference.
The reason to make it yourself it that you know exactly what you’ll get – just nuts and water. Often nut milks found in stores haved fillers and additives.

Homemade Cashew Milk
Ingredients
- 1 cup raw cashews (or almonds)
- 2 cups water for soaking
- 4 cups water for blending
Optional
- 1 – 2 tsp honey
- ½ – 1 tsp pure vanila extract
Instructions

Add nuts and 2 cups filtered water to container

Soak for at least 4 hours (up to 8)

Drain and rinse nuts

Add nuts and two cups of fresh filtered water to blender

Blend on high speed for 1 – 2 minutes until well blended

Line pitcher with nut-milk bag
-
Pour blended milk into lined pitcher

Gently squeeze excell liquid out of nut-milk bag

Discard pulp or feeze for later use in place of nut flour in recipes
Optional – Sweeten and flavor nut milk

Rinse blender and pour strained nut milk back in
-
Add 1 – 2 tsp honey and 1/2 – 1 tsp vanilla

Blend until smooth

Pour into air-tight storeage container

Store in refrigerator for up to 5 days
