It’s hard to believe we’re already a month into the new year. For a lot of us a new year means a fresh start. For some that might mean getting back on track, for others it might mean jumping into SCD, or some other new diet plan, to help regain their health.
I plan to do a lot with this site over the course of the year. I know things have been a little slower over the past couple of months, but I’m committed to making SCD For Life a better place for you and for me.
The last two years have been a time of changes for me. I’ve been laid off twice, went through months and months of either unemployment or short-term contract work, and a part-time job with irregular hours. But now, I’ve settled back into something steady and I can spend more time working on SCD For Life.
Lately, I’ve been drinking this soothing lemon drink nearly every morning and I love it. It’s warm, it’s comforting, and I find it a great way to start the day. If you’re just getting started with SCD, or trying to get back on track, this is the perfect drink for you. It’s easy to customize it to your own tastes. Add more or less spices, honey, or lemon juice to suit your needs. The recipe below is how I make it, but you can change it up as much as you like!
Soothing Lemon Spice Drink
Instructions

Add lemon juice, honey, and spices to a mug

Pour boiling water into mug

Stir
-
Allow to cool a couple of minutes
