So, I thought I was going to put up a new recipe today, but it didn’t turn out as good as I wanted. It was okay, but needs some revision before I can share it.
It made think about my SCD cooking failures over the years.
Baking of course is one of the biggest challenges. Getting the texture and consistency right can be a struggle sometimes. Cookies for me have always been my biggest challenge. I’m usually disappointed in the way they turn out.
SCD breads are another particular problem. It’s hard to replace a good crusty wheat bread!
So I was wondering – what have been your biggest SCD challenges?
Is there anything you’ve tried to make that just hasn’t turned out?
Are there any SCD recipes you’ve gotten from SCD cookbooks or websites (including this one!) that haven’t turned out for you?
Let me know – maybe we can all help each other do some fine tuning!

I have also googled gluten free vegan or vegetarian. Not all of those recipes are SCD, but there are quite a few out there. I have been trying to cut back on meat, so I’ve been looking around for SCD vegetarian recipes myself.
