I’m so excited to share my new cookbook, Don’t Skip Dessert Volume 2, with you. When I embarked on writing this long-awaited follow up to the first Don’t Skip Dessert, my goal was to assemble a collection of recipes that would appeal to those on SCD™ or other similar diet like GAPS Diet, Paleo, or just grain-free who are looking for special desserts they could genuinely enjoy.
I’m so proud of this book. It contains a wide variety of dessert from the simple to the most decadent. I wanted something that surpassed “special diet,” that would be delicious in its own right. So many of my favorite desserts are inside this book:.

Is Don’t Skip Dessert Volume 2 a Specific Carbohydrate Diet™ cookbook?
Yes, every recipe in Don’t Skip Dessert Volume 2 is written for the SCD™ diet. Some recipes are for those who may be at the beginning of their SCD™ diet journey and many are more advanced. Included is a recipe guide, indicating what recipes are egg-free, nut-free, and dairy-free.
Don’t Skip Dessert Volume 2 also includes how-to’s for basics that go into the recipes like lemon curd, labneh, heavy cream yogurt, nut butters, and frostings and glazes.
Does this cookbook apply to other diets?
I tried to make my recipes enjoyable for anyone, but it is geared for anyone following a gain-free diet. This book is suitable for GAPS Diet and most recipes are either Paleo friendly or can easily be converted with simple substitutions. The book includes a substitution guide for dietary needs and Paleo substitutions.
