SCD Pumpkin Frozen Yogurt with Pecans and Honey

SCD Recipe: Pumpkin Frozen Yogurt – Ninja Creami

Jump to Video

Pumpkin frozen yogurt is very easy to make and only takes a few ingredients. This recipe is for the Ninja Creami, but you can use the basic recipe in other ice cream makers. You may want to double the recipe if you use a regular ice cream maker as this only makes a pint. You also don’t want to freeze the mixture for 24 hours before processing.

What Kind Of Pumpkin For Pumpkin Frozen Yogurt?

To make pumpkin frozen yogurt, you’ll want to use pumpkin puree. You can use canned if there is a kind you like or you can make it yourself. Pumpkin puree is very easy to make, especially if you have an Instant Pot and food processor. You can check out my pumpkin puree tutorial and video demo.

Why use a Ninja Creami?

You can use any kind of ice cream maker for this recipe. You just wouldn’t need to freeze for 24 hours first. What I like about the Ninja Creami is the texture it produces. It’s very creamy and I just love the texture it produces.

I also like the ability to make small batches. Homemade ice cream and frozen yogurt gets very hard when it freezes, and I usually don’t like it to last too long because for me it becomes less appealing after a couple of servings. With the Creami I can move on to different ideas and flavors quickly.
