SCD Recipe: Candy Bar Frozen Bananas

You can make your own SCD™ frozen bananas

Do you remember the first time you had a frozen banana?

I do.

It was on my first trip to Disneyland when I was in seventh grade. Everyone had told me I had to get a frozen banana on a stick while I was there. I did and I wasn’t disappointed.

Those bananas were of course covered in a thick layer of rich chocolate. I used to make my own after I got home by melting chocolate and dipping and freezing my own bananas. I loved them!

On SCD™ we can’t do that, but it’s not a problem. We can make just as tasty – and healthier – frozen bananans!

These ones aren’t on a stick because I like the slightly smaller halves, but you could put the full halves on a stick and roll them in the toppings if you like!

For the candy drizzle I made a fresh batch of my Easy Vanilla Cashew Butter Candy and drizzled it on before I let the rest set, but if you have some SCD candy in ther freezer you could just melt it in the microwave or on the stove.

What do you need for SCD™ frozen bananas?

You can get creative with your own frozen banana toppings. I was in a peanut mood so I used peanut butter and chopped dry roasted peanuts, but you can use any nut butter or nuts you like. I also sprinkled on some SCD granola from Wellbee’s because I had some on hand and it was so good, but if you don’t have it, you can leave it off.

  • Bananas – the most important part!
  • Nut butter
  • Chopped nuts
  • Coconut flakes
  • SCD Granola
  • Melted SCD candy

Put as many or as few toppings on your banana as you like!
