New Year, Fresh Start – Soothing Lemon Spice Drink

It’s hard to believe we’re already a month into the new year. For a lot of us a new year means a fresh start. For some that might mean getting back on track, for others it might mean jumping into SCD, or some other new diet plan, to help regain their health.

I plan to do a lot with this site over the course of the year. I know things have been a little slower over the past couple of months, but I’m committed to making SCD For Life a better place for you and for me.

Hot-Lemon-Spice-Drink---SCD

The last two years have been a time of changes for me. I’ve been laid off twice, went through months and months of either unemployment or short-term contract work, and a part-time job with irregular hours. But now, I’ve settled back into something steady and I can spend more time working on SCD For Life.

Lately, I’ve been drinking this soothing lemon drink nearly every morning and I love it. It’s warm, it’s comforting, and I find it a great way to start the day. If you’re just getting started with SCD, or trying to get back on track, this is the perfect drink for ¬†you. It’s easy to customize it to your own tastes. Add more or less spices, honey, or lemon juice to suit your needs. The recipe below is how I make it, but you can change it up as much as you like!
